Abstract (EN)

This study was planed for determine infants with high cerebral palsy risk by multidimensional neurodevelopmental evaluations of risky infants and direct them to early rehabilitation practices. It was also designed to eveluate rapport of the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) to be administered by the pediatric neurologist and physiotherapist. Within the scope of our study, within the scope of our inclusion criteria based on the High-Risk Infant Follow-up form of the Turkish Neonatology Society, 32 high-risk babies were included in the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) for body structure and functions, and Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) for activity level. The was assessed for participation and environmental impact with the Family Concerns, Participation and Environmental Impact Questionnaire. Term corrected infants aged 3 months were also evaluated with General Movement Assessment (GMA), and the results of infants with Magnetic Resonance Imaging in their medical records were analyzed based on current reports. In addition to risky infants, families of 32 typically developing infants were invited to complete the Family Concerns, Participation and Environmental Impact questionnaire. It was observed that there was agreement between the physiotherapist and pediatric neurologist for the HINE test (P<0.05). It was observed that 18 of the risky babies were suboptimal according to the cut-off point values of the HINE test. It was observed that all 12 babies who were abnormal according to the norm values of AIMS and Absent Fidgety at the age of term corrected 3 monts olds were included in this group. These babies were evaluated as "Baby with High Cerebral Palsy Risk" and were directed to early rehabilitation practices.
