Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the conseptual mistakes in the history lesson that the 11th grade students encounter with and to suggest some solutions for these mistakes.The research field focuses on Ankara and deals with the students study in the Gazi Vakfı College in Çankaya, the İnönü High in Keçiören and the Aydınlıkevler Anadolu Lisesi. The sample of this research which is the 11th grade students of the schools mentioned above. This study includes the 2010-2011 Spring Midterm.In this research, a 25 questioned conseptual success test about the lesson history is applied. The data is analized by the SPSS. According to the evidences the result is:-Gender is not an efficient factor in order to gain the concept success.-The type of the schools which the students study is an efficient factor in order to gain the concept success.-It is determined that student have some conseptual mistakes.Key Words: Concept, Misconception, Significant learning, History Teaching, A.İ.İ.T.
