Abstract (EN)
Ottoman Empire entered a reorganization period in all fields with the Declaration of Reorganization. With this aim, getting an income tax basis from properties of the taxpayers living in public according to their annual income was considered. Those tax records were written in profit notebooks. In those notebooks there is detailed information about the numbers of the taxpayers houses, the amount of the fields in the related area, the condition of the land, grown crops, aii income rates, paid taxes, numbers of the animals, commercial activities and thereby the economic condition of the public. In this research, an evaluation was done by searching Suhud's BOA, ML. VRD. TMT.9299-09354-09362-09365-09372-09375-09385-17754-17790 numbered notebooks in the profit notebooks of Istanbul Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive.
