Socio-economic life in Strumica in 19'th century

In this study, which has the title "Socio-Economic Life in Strumica in the 19st Century", the condition of Strumica, which is in the territory of Macedonia today, in the Ottoman period was dealt with. Determining the social and economic aspects of Strumica in the Ottoman period is necessary to understand Strumica today. Although there are data on this county in local Macedonian and other foreign sources, little is known about it in Turkish sources. Throughout the study, the primary sources of the Ottoman period were generally referred to. This study dealt specifically with the changes that appeared since the publication of the Imperial Tanzimat Edict. The changes that took place in those years caused that the most commercially and agriculturally efficient period of Strumica was lived. In addition to these changes, an increase in the population was also observed. The great impact of the Imperial Tanzimat Edict on education also led to the spread of education in Strumica. Although Strumica is a cosmopolitan place, the Ottoman Empire treated tolerant and fair to all the people without discrimination.
