Abstract (EN)

Before 1980, the art of painting, along with Modernism, deviating from the external determinism previously it belonged to, formed a new visual aesthetical language reflecting nature of its own tools and self-characteristics. Based on this, the concept of space in the art of painting, free of being an illusion belonging to the external world, turned into a figure/form association between elements of art and the impression of depth. Postmodernist art re-explained the meaning of association between the art object and the audience. New Expressionism re-owned, in a series of ?return? logic, many traditional elements both the modernist art and the conceptual trends ignored and discredited. On the other hand, the products of Neorealism current were often examined through images depicting objects and spaces selected from within the popular culture of the time. Post 1980 is a period when, contrary to an ideal language of expression limited to a gallery, works with different expression languages, layers, and disciplines used together, off the gallery limits, began to multiply. In today?s art, real space is considered the artist?s space of action and real object is regarded the artist?s tool [objective]. Again in this perspective, socio-political projects presented at public spaces interact with the audience. Sometimes the audience is even in the center of the work. Raising audience?s awareness through developments influencing the consciousness is basis to production. Thus, real space is questioned by the audience and sometimes it becomes possible for the audience to form the spaces. This clear attitude, forcing the audience blinded by the mass media and contained his/her own comfort zone and identity, puts forward a new aesthetics perception. In conclusion, the subjective aesthetics perception coming in sight with modern understanding is replaced with a dynamic structure where the art work is localized and the audience can be visualized as a figure.
