Changes of Turkish people dress and their life style have occurred accordingly appropriate line in the world of fashion nonetheless proclamation of the republic and dress revolution. In addition, In the Republican period, western type developments have gained further momentum in the Turkish fashion to gathers with changing the status, obtaining the right to individual and beginning to find a place in the public areas of women. With the beginning of the Republic, one of the most accurate ways to ensure compliance with Western culture had been agreed to follow the world of fashion in the country. Famous clothing brands in the world opened stores in the large cities in succession and wearing these branded clothes were considered a status symbol. In 1980s, hair bands, rubber shoes, tracksuits, many clothing which were coming from the English to our language such as shirts, sweat-shirts, and tights became fashionable. Women have started doing the world business which was male dominated traditionally, they have put new clothes on the image of a Professional business woman and powerful to the general fashion style such as jackets which were weared with skirts or trousers that removed with exaggerated shoulder pads and ties. Fashion was no longer dependent on the style of dress; it has played a role in accelerating the process of becoming obsolete variety of fabrics in fashion. In the 1980s, it was seen that some of the currents were popular such as punk, vintage and kitsch. In addition, creating your own fashion by yourself style has been emerged by the members of the community who freely create their own fashion.The currents have been gained popularity in the 1990s; feminine, androgynous, retro, bohemian and gothic. Simple and body grip forms, have been marked to the 90s. Periods and clothes were presented again, clothing pieces have changed their places after used, a men's jacket which was produced from a fabric as accepted feminine, sports shoes made from luxurious shiny material, underlined technical detail was used on the night dress... Now, none of the material is specific to a single gender! The 1980-2000 periods was marked to the history as the age of the image. It was the era of hope and innocence. A country, a nation and a state have been created. Nowadays, fashion and fashion photography in our country with science and technology developments have created an industry shape that supports each other.This study will be performed to clarify how the 1980's era of fashion and fashion photography have entered into a development process in Turkey and mention about the included issues of them.It is thought that this study will lead the studies which will be done for fashion and fashion photography in later times.
