Abstract (EN)
It has been observed that in a modern economy, multinational companies have shown sustainable growth struggles due to global rivalry. At this point mergers and acquisitions are intensively accepted as a growth strategy by the multinational companies. In this research, mergers and acquisitions that realized in our country by corporations which preferred the way for growing by merger and acquisition, have been taken up.In the light of this explanation, mergers and acquisitions that realized by foreign corporations in Istanbul Stock Exchange for the 1998- 2008 period, were examined financially. In conclusion, this study tries to explain the different effects of mergers and acquisitions onto financial structure of mentioned firms.Key Words: Growth of Companies, Multinational Companies, Mergers and Acquisitions.
