Abstract (EN)

An important source among the Ottoman archival sources in terms of the various subjects it contains, the sharia registers are the main sources for researchers of Ottoman socio-economic and urban history. Sharia registers are records that contain the judgments of the cases heard in court by the qadi and his assistant naib, as well as copies of documents from the center such as orders, edicts, decrees, orders and tezkire. The registry records provide information about the administrative structure, neighborhoods, villages and nahiyas of the city under study. At the same time, it is possible to obtain information about both the social and economic structure and the cultural structure of the city. In our thesis; By evaluating the data in the Bor Şer'iyye Registry No. 2, which covers the records between the years H. 1027-1032 M. 1618-1623, the administrative structure, social and economic situation of the Bor District of Niğde Sanjak within the Karaman Province was tried to be examined in line with the documents in the book.
