Abstract (EN)

Turkey, a country directed towards European Union should carry out rapidly the reforms in the field of education which are constituted in frame of EU strategies. This is required for the future competitive economical world. The vocational schools in our country has a proportion of 35% in whole system. However, it should be 65%. Besides, the lack of equipment, substructure and educator in some extent should be taken in to consideration. According to this potential it appears to be impossible that our country could be ready for the economy of the future. The European educational programs like Leonardo ve Socrates revealed this situation clearly. As a result of the projects carried out in frame of these programs; students exchanges have been realized. These exchanges were not merely among students. There was a participation from all units of universities and especially from the ministry of education. Along with the exchange of persons between the countries also the exchange of opinions have been realized. The project researchers established the importance of knowing a foreign language and the differences in point of view in our global world. In these projects there is a focus on Germany as partner and on English as language. To become a world state we have to act widely and broaden our vision.
