Central Bank monetary implementation in Turkey between the period of 2001-2010

ABSTRACTThe goal of this proposed theses aims to examine the process of monetary policies implemented by the Central Bank of Turkey during the period of 2001-2010, and its compliance with the objectives of the Central Bank, its reflection on the price stability and the impact of determining other economic indicators. The study will be based on measuring and evaluating the performance of the Central Bank as well as to reach the goal of applied monetary policies and the success of the overall economic structure.In the process of carrying out the study, initially theoretical work on monetary policy and application procedures will be done. On the application stage, monetary policies implemented in Turkey during the period of 2001-2010 will be examined annually. The method to be applied will be based on the analysis of past data. The monetary policy objectives of the Central Bank, applied tools, main and minor indicators and exchange rate, interest rate and reserve practices in the 10-year period will be analyzed annually based on relating sources of the data.In the conclusion and evaluation part of the theses data and analysis of monetary policy implementations and the extent of the Central Bank reaching its goals will be presented. Three different conclusions will be reached at the end of this study. Firstly, the measuring the performance of the Central Bank; secondl, evaluating the impact of the monetary policies of the Central Bank on the price stability; and thirdly, presenting findings on how some other economic indicators are influenced by the applied program.Key Words: Monetary Policy, Money Demand Theories, Economic Stabilization Policies, Monetay Policy Applications, Economic Crisis
