Abstract (EN)
In this study, first, the process that led the Turkish economy to the 2001 crisis and then the macroeconomic performance of the Turkish economy after the 2001 crisis are examined. In this context, evaluations are provided based on key macroeconomic indicators related to the Turkish economy, such as inflation, unemployment, growth, foreign capital movements, and the current account balance. The study concludes that the process that began with the liberalization of capital movements in 1989 and the subsequent policies implemented have made the growth dynamics of the Turkish economy, developments in the balance of payments, movements in goods and services trade, and the employment structure dependent on foreign capital inflows.
