Abstract (EN)
This study examines the use of trend in jewelery design in the 21st century. Trend is an understanding or opinion that is adopted temporarily by society. It is a phenomenon that exists in every part of our lives in many fields such as architecture, fashion and industrial design. The jewelry, which was thought to be used in order to protect against evil spirits and dangers in the Paleolithic period, was shaped according to the cultural and social life of humanity. The fast changes created by the trend in our lives have influenced the field of jewelry design in terms of production, material, design and marketing. As a result of the influence of trends, there is a great variety in today's jewelry designs. Different trends of today's communities have influenced jewelry design and are classified as design approaches according to the material, production technique and design process differences. Different design approaches created different trends and were influenced by each other. Today, jewelry design companies are trying to serve all consumer classes. Jewelry design increases the product range day by day with the effect of trends.
