Abstract (EN)

Sharia court records are the books which keep adjudication records in the courts held by cadis in Ottoman Empire. When we examine the sharia court records of an area, we can be informed about the social, economic, cultural and juridical structure of that area. When Manisa sharia record number 275 is investigated, we obtain information about the legislations such as the inheritance records belonging dead persons , inheritance cases, divorce suits, injury cases, bill of costs of Redif barracks, bill of costs of Saruhan sanjak, the records related to bribe penalties, permission missives of soldiers, the records regarding the retirement salaries of injured soldiers in the war, regulations introduced for the plague disease.
