Abstract (EN)

In this study, inhibitor efficiency of 3-Amino-5-methyltio-1H-1,2,4-triazole(AMHT) and (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane(3MPTS) compounds have been investigated against corrosion of mild steel. For this purpose, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and potantiodynamic measurements were utilized. As 3MPTS adhesives via chemical bond to the metal, ıt is more effective inhibitor than AMHT. However; both inhibitors' efficiencies are found to be directly based on environmental conditions, like temperature, pH, etc. Therefore; RSM(Response Surface Method) has been used to illuminate the effect of different parameters pH, temperature and concentration, regarding the inhibition efficiency. Efficiencies obtained from experiment sets have been evaluated commitment of more than one parameter with help regression analysis. In this way, it has been predicted what parameters should be monitored and the the concentration of inhibitor required to ensure the desired efficiency level with the change of ambient conditions in practical applications.
