SUMMARY 32/7 Transcription And Evaluation Of France Provisions Book In this study, transcription and examination of the provisions were made, revealing the social, political and economic conditions of the Ottoman-French relations, including fîve-year period between 1838-1843. The Ottoman-French relations of the 19th century have been tried to be examined in date range we have chosen. The provisions in our book are generally focused on commercial issues, disputes between the two countries, disputes between themselves and Muslims, concerns about customs, issues related to state offîcials, clergy and freedom of belief. Key Words: Provisions Book, Ottoman Empire, French, Trade, 19th century.
