Abstract (EN)

Ottoman Empire, from its foundation until the end of 16th century, wasin the process of expansion and development. Yet from the beginning of 17thcentury, the fundamental institutions of state apparatus began to bedeterioratedIn the period under question, Karahisar-ı Sahib is a town and part ofAnatolian province. Thanks to its geographic position, fort he most of thetime, the city was the center of trade, while raising livestock and agriculturehad important places.In the 17th century, the conditions of Ottoman Empire affected sociallife in the towns of Anatolia including Karahisar-ı Sahib.The tax collectorsoppressed the people. The history of Karahisar-ı Sahib which covers theyears of 1666-1667, shed light on the history of Ottoman Empire and urbanhistory, while the transliteration of the court records of Afyonkarahisar mightcontribute to the studies in this field.
