Abstract (EN)
AN INVESTIGATION OF SOME ANTHROPOMETRIC AND MOTORIC CHARACTERISTICS OF PRIMARY EDUCATİON STUDENTS BETWEEN 6-10 YEAR-OLD WHO ARE NOT INVOLVEDOR IN SPORTIVE ACTIVITIES This study is done in order to specify some motoric and anthropometric properties of the students who do and not do sports between ages 6-10. Differences between them and influence of the sport on these properties are investigated. Students are directed to the sport based on the outputs of our study. Some assignments of the inactive students who have higher body weight index are encouraged to the sport. This investigation study consists of Private Osmangazi School students who are randomly selected from 120 students, 60 girls and 60 boys between ages 6-10. In total, 120 out of 300 students between ages 6-10 are joined to these investigations. All participants of these investigations are the candidates. Some physical motoric pre-tests are applied to these randomly selected candidates. 60 candidates out of these randomly selected 120 students are only joined to the physical education lessons. Other 60 students are joined to a special training program which takes 90 minutes in 2 days per week during 12 weeks in addition to their physical education lessons. Post-tests are applied to the candidates after 12 weeks training program. An information form is filled by the all candidates in order to collect demographic structure of the students. Anthropometric measurements and some engine ability tests are applied. Investigation is done based on relational search model that a part of general search models approach. Statistical analysis is done with SPSS 21 program. One Way Anova Test (two phase) is used in order to specify the statistical differences between background groups of all parameters. P<0.05 is selected for statistical approach. As a result, it is seen in our study that physical development do not do a meaningful difference for the students in these ages not only dependent to sport but also with the influence of the physical growth. Positive influence of the training is observed on engine abilities based on reaction and flexibility values. Positive influence is also observed for speed and vertical jumping even there was no statistical deviance. Keywords: Sports, Children, Anthropometry, Motoric Features.
