Comparison of gross the rough motor skills of students who make active sports in different sports branches of 8-10 age group

The purpose of this research; The aim of this study was to investigate the basic motor skill levels of children aged between 8 and 10 years according to the TGMD-III test, depending on the levels of gender and sport branches of children engaged in active sports in different sports branches. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club Ord. Professor Dr. 239 athletes (basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, taekwondo and football) who participated in the sport for at least one year in Ekrem Akurgal Sports Hall participated on the basis of volunteerism. The data required to reach the goals determined in the study were obtained by applying Webster & Ulrich (2017), TGMD-III test protocol. Kurtosis-Skewness and Kolmagorov-Smirnov analysis were performed for the normal test of the data and the data were not distributed normally and nonparametric tests were used. The data were compared with Mann Whitney U for sex and Kruskal Wallis test for comparison of branches. As a level 2 test, Tamhane's T2 post hoc test was applied to compare the branches. According to the results of the analysis, there was a statistically significant difference between sexes of boys and girls in locomotor, object control and TGMD-III total scores (p <0,01). There was a statistically significant difference (p <0.01). Rough motor skills of the players were significantly better when compared to other branches. As the reasons of these differences between branches, it is thought that the spores are caused by the motor and physiological characteristics required by their structures.
