İlköğretim ve lisedeki öğrenci velilerinin okuldan beklentileri üzerine bir araştırma: Özel Ümraniye İrfan Anaokulu, İlköğretim Okulu ve Lisesi örneği

The aim of this rescarch is to determine the expectations of the parents whose children study in private schools, the realization level of these expectations and whether these expectations differentiate according to parents? demographic qualities or not. The questionare prepared with this aim, was applied to 112 parents of the children studying in Private Ümraniye İrfan Primary andHigh Schools in 2009-2010 academic year. As results the findings of the questionare were being evaluated, SPSS for Windows programme was used for statistical analysis. As the datas of the study were being evaluated , diagnostic statistical methods were used. In the analyses of hypothesis tests independent sample T- test was used. At the end of the search, it was agreed that the parents had the most expectations towards the teachers? attitude and applications , and they had the least expectations towards the extra applications of their school and other educational institutions. In some factors of parents? expectation scale, meaninaful relationships were determined with regards to parents? expectations , their children?s class , their economic level , their educational situation and the number of the children.Key Words: Parent?s Expectation , Effective School, Private School
