US invasion of Iraq in 2003 and its sociopolitical consequences

This study deals with the real causes of the war that prompted the United States to declare war on Iraq and clarifies its social and political implications. It has also been clearly demonstrated that the Iraqi-American relations are not at the same pace and are subject to various changes in line with political and economic interests. Since the USA felt the danger of growing Iraqi power in the regional arena and wanted to protect its interests in the Middle East, it took this step and sought ways to destroy and weaken it by declaring war on Iraq.study conclud that the US-Iraq war provided many Arab and non- Arab countries with the opportunity to achieve many political and economic gains in Iraq. With the USA's control of Iraqi resources and the intervention of China, Iran, Turkey, Israel and Arabian Gulf states, Iraq has turned into a region where many countries play a political role in the competition and internal instability in Iraq. It also contributed to the division of Iraqi society and the subordination of the political system to sub-identity rather than national identity, which created a state of internal instability in the Iraqi state.
