Abstract (EN)

Discovered by Europeans in 1492, USA was founded by the immigrants coming from all around the Europe and it has been still the biggest immigrant receiving country in the world. After the Declaration of Independence of 1776 and the Constitution of 1789 American federal government was built. Clearly defined, the US political system has a constitution based on the basic structures with 50 states and one federal region. The US political system has an executive branch, the president is responsible for, and the legislative branch including Senate and the House of Representatives. For affecting the public policy, people and corporations get in contact with Congress. Called as lobbying, these organizations are protected by the US Constitution. Unless making a sufficient impression on decision makers, today it is not possible to show justification within public opinion how soever right it may be. The immigrant?s country, US, has consequently many ethnic diasporas and all of them carry out lobbying activities for affecting policy. Through working coordinately, the prominent one among these ethnic lobbies is Jewish lobby. Comparing with the other diasporas, Turkish diasporas in the US have not got huge political impacts.Recently, especially Jewish lobby has followed support policy against Turkey because of its Middle East policy, besides Armenian and Greek lobbies have counterallied in the US via `so-called genocide? and `Cyprus issue? for years. Turkey has tried to conduct lobbying activities to overcome the prejudice created by these counter organizations and wants to make its presence felt among the America?s polyphonic orchestras.
