Abdurrahman Zahidi-i Konev'is poetic dictionary of Tevfiyye

In this study, poetic dictionary called "Tevfiyye" has been researched which is written by Abdurrahmân Zâhidî-i Konevî in the 18th century in Arabic-Persian-Turkish. The main objective of the study is to analyse Abdurrahman Zâhidî-i Konevi's poetic dictionary called Tevfiyye in terms of form and content and to bring in Tevfiyye to world of science. In this respect, the dictionary's copy which has been found in Süleymaniye Library registered as Hafid Efendi Collection number 441 examined and the transcripted text has been revealed. In the first chapter of the study, brief information about poetic dictionaries which is obtained from sources has been metioned including the ones published in Anatolian field. In the second chapter, the form and content of the poetic dictionary named Tevfiyye has been elaborated which is the subject of our study. Subsequently, language and style of the author were reviewed and some noteworthy grammatical features were adverted. In the third chapter, information about the only known copy of the dictionary has given, including explanition of the path followed in creation process and the transcripted text of "Tevfiyye". In the fourth and final chapter, an index has been arranged according to Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Greek and Coptic words takes part in dictionary section of "Tevfiyye".
