Abstract (EN)

In this study, some antioxidant activities (SOD, GSH, GPx and CAT) and serum MDA levels were determined from serum samples taken from patients diagnosed with abortus imminens in Gynecology Department Van Regional Training and Research Hospital Gynecology Department. SOD, GPx, CAT activities and GSH in abortus imminens patients were found to be significantly lower than healthy controls (p<0.001) (Table 4.1). Serum CAT activity of the patient group was significantly lower than the control group (p <0.001) (Table 4.1). Serum GSH level in the patient group was significantly lower than the control group (p<0.001) (Table 4.1). Patient serum MDA level was significantly higher than the control group (p <0.001) (Table 4.1). As a result; High SOD, CAT, GSH and GPx activities and low MDA levels can be considered as a factor reducing the risk of aborus imminens disease. Furthermore, any damage to oxidative stress and antioxidant balance may be considered as a possible cause of the disease of the development of abortus imminens. Keywords: Abortus imminens, CAT, GPx, GSH, MDA, SOD.
