Abstract (EN)

In this study, in the Balcalı Region of Adana Province, some species of hunter Orius and insects with prey were examined in some cultivated plants in the years 2019-2020. Survey studies were carried out on the some summer and winter vegetables, field crops and fruit trees. The distributions of Orius species and insects that are their prey (thrips, aphids and leaf fleas) of Orius species were given as well as the changes in their population densities were studied together. As a result of the study; the species Orius niger Wolff, Orius laevigatus Fieber, Orius albidipennis Reuter and Orius vicinus Ribaut (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae) were detected and the total number of individuals was found to be 210. Orius laevigatus was the most common predatory species with a ratio of 71%. This species was followed by O. niger with a ratio of 29% rate. Orius species, especially Orius laevigatus, are mostly sampled from winter vegetables (especially from the legume plants). Orius niger was recorded in relatively larger numbers in the summer vegetables. Thrips are the most common pest group with a rate of %65 along with Orius species. The Orius population has generally developed depending on the thrips population. Thrips and Orius species are mostly found in the flowers of plants.
