Abstract (EN)

This study was held in Adana, one of the biggest cities in Turkey, to determine potential temperature and precipitation changes depend on human-inducted climate change. The research was started by comparing 3 different climate models and 3 different climate emission scenarios by using real data obtained from Regional Directorate of Meteorology which was measured between 1960 and 2011 and consequently finding the most suitable model and emission scenario. In the second part of the study, it was found that ,with the 9.5% margin of error, Global Circulation Model BCC-BCM2.0 and SRES A2 scenario gave the closest results to real data; afterwards medium-term (between the years 2045-2055) and long-term (between the years 2089-2099) temperature and precipitation projections were done with this climate model and scenario. During the monthly mean temperature researches it was observed that 10 years between 2001-2011 annual average temperature of 19.41 ° C, 0.5 ° C increase in the years 2045 to 2055 was 19.91 ° C and total increased by 2.47 ° C between the years 2089-2099 became 21, 88 ° C. It has been determined that the maximum temperature in the range 2016-2099 years will increase by 4.57 ° C. During the monthly areal precipitation researches conducted it has been observed that the total value of the 10-year average precipitation between 2001-2011 was 60.93 mm / month, between the years 2045-2055 it is 56.17 mm / month and in the years 2089-2099 it is 52.45 mm / month. From the periods studied in the medium-term period of 2045-2055 years 7.81% decrease in the average monthly precipitation and in long-term period of 2089-2099 years 13.91% decrease was seen. The data obtained from studies done constitutes a resource for the more specific topics to analyse of the possible effects of climate change to be seen in Adana province.
