Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of high school adolescents playing sports such as basketball, futsal, table tennis and badminton on their motor performance, body composition and attention levels; to determine how much impact each of these branches has; demonstrate how children's motor skills, attention levels and body composition are affected as a result of playing the sports branch they have chosen. The population of the research consisted of high school students studying in Bingöl city center. The sample group of the research consists of a total of 57 (experimental group 42, control group 15) sedentary male students who studies in secondary education institutions in Bingöl city center in the 2022-2023 academic year. The research group filled out an information form about whether they do sports regularly or not, and the Deutscher Motoric Test was applied to determine the motor performance levels of these sedentary children, and the Bourdon Attention Test was applied to determine their attention levels. After the children's initial motor skill and attention levels were determined, they were made to play matches in the sports branch they chose, 3 days a week, 1 hour a day, and the level of this performance was measured again at the end of 8 weeks. Analyzes of the data were made using the SPSS program. Statistical significance degree of error (alpha (α) error level) was accepted as p<0.05. As a result, according to the study, students who participated in sports branches showed a significant improvement in attention levels, motor skills and physical fitness parameters such as explosive strength, balance, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination, speed, aerobic endurance compared to those who did not participate.
