Determination of grape cultivars the ampelographic properties in Adıyaman-Besni region

This research was carried out to determine the ampelographic characteristics of local grape cultivars grown in Adıyaman-Besni region between 2021-2022. The ampelographic characteristics of the varieties were used in the publication "Descriptors for Grape" prepared by the "International Center for Plant Gene Resources" (IBPGR) and published in 1983, but the reference was made to the "Minimal Descriptor List for Grapevine Varieties" published in 1989. 14 Grape cultivars identified in the neighborhoods and villages of Besni district of Adıyaman province were evaluated in terms of 64 characters. In addition, the climatic characteristics of the district and the applied viticulture technique were investigated. It was determined that 14 grape cultivars belong to the Vitis vinifera L. species, of which the color of the berry skin was "green yellow" in 10 cultivars, "dark red-black" in 2 cultivars, "red" in 1 cultivar, and "black" in 1 cultivar When the erect hairs characteristics on the shoot tip are examined, it is only "very rare" in the 'Besni (Peygamber Üzümü) grape cultivar; could not be detected in the other 13 cultivars. The Total water soluable dry matter (TSS) was measured between 13.60-21.80% and the titratable acidity was measured between 2.9-6,12g/l. In terms of harvest time, 2 cultivars were "very late", 4 cultivars were "late", 7 cultivars were "mid-season" and 1 cultivar was "early". The flower structure was determined as "Hermaphrodite" in 9 cultivars, as "Morphological hermaphrodite physiological female" in 'Hönüsü', 'Serpenekıran', 'Kırmızı', 'Tahannebi' and 'Tümmü' grape cultivars.
