Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, Afghanistan's current economic condition is analyzed. The obstacles for the development of Afghanistan in the past were mainly the resistance against the British colonialism that lasted for 150 years from 18th until the end of 19th Century, and the closed economy following the independence. Intervention and internal conflicts over the last 35 years have destroyed Afghanistan's economy further. Because of the increased instability in the country after 2001, the domestic and foreign investors in the country have been reluctant to invest in the country. Workers have begun to produce drugs because the country has not reached a level of stability and are not a regular economy. One of the obstacles is Afghanistan's insecurity. Because investment and production, which are elements of economic development, can only take place in a safe environment. So, Afghanistan's economy is still weak because the country is living in corruption. Corruption slows down economic growth in many ways. These issues are investigated in this research and at the end, some solutions for the development of the economy will be proposed.
