Abstract (EN)

As in all countries, energy demand in our country is constantly rising over time. Energy saving is of great importance in our country which is largely outsourced. The first order of energy use is industrial plants. A large part of the energy consumption of industrial plants is electricity. In this context, industrial plants that want to produce electrical energy needs usually use gas turbines or steam turbine power plants. Cogeneration systems are used to increase the efficiency of these plants with low efficiency and to evaluate the waste heat. In terms of thermodynamics, the efficiency of heat power plants is calculated according to the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Energy and exergy performances of thermal methods are important in system selection, system design and determination of system conditions. In this study, an energy analysis was carried out according to the first law of the thermodynamics of a 7,5 MW gas turbine power cycle in a factory operating in the wood industry located in Balıkesir province. It has been calculated that the waste exhaust gas from the gas turbine can be produced at 11 MPa and at 3,055 kg / s by using the boiler and the cogeneration system designed using the economizer. The steam obtained from the cogeneration system has been used for glue production, cooling in the chiller unit, for in the refiner unit which cooks and fiberizes the wood particles.
