The purpose of this study is to study and investigate a valuable scientific work in the Shafi'i jurisprudence, which is "Ghayat Al-Murad Liman Kasurat Himmatuhu Min Al-İbad" by the scholar and jurist Abi al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Omar al-Dirbi (d. 1151 AH), In which the author collected the issues of children's mothers, ie: manumission, sale, mortgage, enjoyment, inheritance and separate issues scattered from books and literature, The importance of the study comes from Al-Dairabi's scientific standing, as the author has many books and treatises on the jurisprudence of Imam Al-Shafi'i, which indicates his position in this school of thought as a collector, commentator, inference, and preponderant, as well as from the scientific value of the manuscript, including the rare sources that the author stood on and quoted from, and its inclusion of many jurisprudential opinions, evidence, controversies, and quotes, in addition to being limited to one topic - which is the issues of children's mothers - in which he collected the various sayings of scholars and died. teams their issues in it. This study relied on two copies of the manuscript in the Al-Azhar Library in Egypt, and the study followed the descriptive-historical approach: when tracing the biography and scientific of the scholar Al-Derbi, and the descriptive-inductive-analytical approach: when extrapolating the jurisprudential issues contained in the book Ghayat al-Murad, and related rulings, and analyzing them to find out the jurist's approach in deduction and weighting, and the approach in investigating the heritage and commenting on it in the investigated text. The book of Sheikh al-Faqih al-Dairabi included an explanation of the issues of children's mothers (selling them, mortgaging them, emancipating them, inheriting them, ruling their children, and their masters), as the author chose it from his conclusion on the explanation of the book of liberation by Zakariya al-Ansari, so he was brief and masterful in presenting the article, the issues' heads, and their ramifications. The book is also considered one of the types of mixed explanations, as the author mixes the text and the explanation without separating them, in which he presented the sayings of the imams of the Shafi'i jurists on previous issues, such as: Al-Mawardi, Al-Baghawi, Al-Nawawi, Ibn Al-Rifa'a, Al-Zarkashi and others, Rather, the author corrected in many places these sayings, and discussed those opinions and weighed them by presenting analogues and relying on jurisprudential rules. The study showed that the book of al-Derbi is rich in sources, as the author quotes the books of the imams of the sect, such as: al-Shams al-Ramli, Ibn Hajar, al-Shihab al-Qalubi, al-Khatib al-Shirbiny. The author also took care of linguistic and grammatical issues, as he used to stand on difficult words and set them exactly right, explaining their morphological derivation and meaning and the reasons for its position in the syntax in some of the words of the book Sharh al-Tahrir, The book is also distinguished by its presentation of some of the incidents and urgent issues of his time and the discussion of these issues with his sheikhs, such as: Al-Toukhi, Al-Bashbishi, and Al-Shabramalsi. In sum, the book reflects the scientific personality of the jurist al-Dairabi, his good ability to infer and suggest weighting, and that he enjoys an encyclopedic culture that appeared in the large number of works he authored in various sciences such as jurisprudence, then hadith, impositions, the Prophet's biography, belief, astronomy and medicine, as well as his piety from falling into fraud attributing something to him that is not his, which gives his book great scientific value.
