Abstract (EN)

Ahmed-i Rıvan, who lived in the second half of the 15th century and the first half of the 16th century, was a poet who owned Khamse. The purpose of this study is to examine the poet?s the masnavi of Heft-Peyker through the comparative study of the two copies of the poet?s manuscripts, to constitute the transcription text, to annex index of the proper names and a copy of the manuscript text, which is available at 369 / 2 within the Agah Sırrı Levent manuscripts at Ataturk University.In term of its topic Heft-Peyker, which is within the category of a fictious masnavi, whose theme is romance and adventure, has a main story with seven shorter stories. In this regard the masnavi of Heft-Peyker resembles the framestory technique of Arabian Nights tales. Ahmed-i Rıdvan unlike Nizami added a eulogy and eight lyrics to this masnavi, which was translated from Nizami.Only the titles in the transcription text of this masnavi which is available at Ty.7575 at the Library of Manuscript of Istanbul University have been included in this study. The rest of the differences between the two manuscripts have been listed at footnotes.The most possible original text has been attempted to be recreated of Heft-Peyker by comparing the available two copies of the masnavi. The more comprehensive copy of the two masnavi has also been attached to this study.Key Words : Ahmed-i Rıdvan, Heft-Peyker, Nizami, mesnevi, transcription text.
