Abstract (EN)
Aim: In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the attitudes of individuals who applied to the clinic within a certain time frame towards healthy eating. Materials and Methods: This study is a cross-sectional, descriptive, and analytical study conducted to evaluate the attitudes toward healthy eating among individuals aged 18 to 65. It was carried out between March 1, 2025, and June 1, 2025, among patients aged 18 to 65 who applied to the Family Medicine Outpatient Clinic of Uşak University Faculty of Medicine Training and Research Hospital. Participants were included in the study on a voluntary basis, and written informed consent was obtained after providing necessary explanations about the study. As data collection tools, a sociodemographic data form developed by the researcher and the "Attitude Scale Towards Healthy Eating" developed by Tekkurşun Demir and Cicioğlu were used. Results: A total of 280 patients participated in our study. Of the patients, 53.9% (n=151) were female and 46.1% (n=129) were male. The patients' ages ranged between 18 and 65 years. The mean score and standard deviation of the Attitude Scale Towards Healthy Eating (ASTHE) was 75.11±9.7. Conclusions: When we look at the results of the study, it is evident that nutrition is influenced by many factors such as age, gender, BMI, place of residence, employment status, having children, marital status, educational level, smoking and alcohol use, income level, and physical exercise. Education is the most effective and fundamental way to prevent nutrition-related problems. In this context, it is of great importance for family physicians to address the topic of nutrition during patient consultations.
