Abstract (EN)

In this study the effect of cutting conditions, coating type and tool wear on the surface rougness when machining, AISI 5140 steel that is widely used in machine product sector. DNMG 1506rr Iso coded and nose radius r = 0,4-0,8- 1,2 mm and uncoated cermet, TiAIN coated by PVD, TiN coated by CVD cutting tools that made by ISCAR were used in experiments. Cutting speeds of 100-150-200-250 m/min, feed rate of 0,05-0,1-0,2-0,3 mm/rev are used as the cutting conditions in experiments. In the result of experiments; surface roughness is decreased by increasing the nose radius. The cutting depth in the finish cut is the less important parameter for effecting surface roughness. The feed rate, nose radius, and cuting speed are the most effected parameters on the surface rougness. The PVD-TiAIN coated cuting tool makes surface roughness, better than the surface roughness made by CVD-TiN coated cutting tool, after uncoted cermet cutting tools.
