Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted in the forests in Güzeloluk, Alata and Erdemli Forest Management Units. The research was focused on vegetation cover which is one of the main drivers of landscape diversity. Within this context, a restoration proposal is aimed by means of identifying, and mapping the actual spatial distribution of landscapes, characterized by Quercus infectoria subsp. boissieri as a destroyed indigenous species. As a result of overlapping the thematic maps of geomorphology, topography, bio-climate, and vegetation with land use patterns a landscape typology was obtained and according to the diversity, transects for field surveys were selected. Along selected transects, 28 unified quadrates were sampled and spatial distribution of the communities that characterized by Q. infectoria subsp. boissieri was determined. As a result of the research, the restoration proposals in designated Q. infectoria subsp. boissieri potential distribution area is presented.
