Smart classrooms are the concept that shows great progress in the recent10 years of education technology world. This concept evaluated among the remoteeducation systems has its problems about conceptual misunderstandings and whatkind of hardware content it should have.In this research academic successes of the students that are lectured intraditional classrooms and smart classrooms are compared. Secondly the opinionsabout behaviours of the students that continues their education in smartclassrooms are examined. Formation of the example model related to smartclassrooms and what kind of characteristics it should have will be stated in detail.The hardware that should be in smart classrooms and their usage also takes aconsiderable place. As another dimension the software that provides the organicbond between the academic success, behaviours and hardware in smartclassrooms is studied.In this study the characteristics of the smart class softwares are described indetail.The population of research is formed by 3. year students of university ofFırat Technical Education Faculty Electronic and Computer Teaching. Sampling isformed by 3.year of computer teaching I. And II. Education and electonic teachingstudents II. education. Sampling 33 students from computer teaching 3.year I. andII. Education at smart classrooms and 33 students from 3.year of Electronic II.education at traditional classrooms is lectured.In the research, a behaviour survey with 51 items devoted to determiningaspects related to smart classrooms and an academic success test with 33 itemsimproved by researcher as a means of collecting data are preapered.Percentage-frequency and t-test (dependent- independent) for dataanalysis and also ?SPSS12 for Windows? software are used.At the end of the study, smart classrooms that as a new dimension oflearning which increase productivity and would be considered as an alternative totraditional education systems added a new dimension to remote educationsystem.In the result of the study, software and hardware features concerning smartclassrooms appeared and smart classrooms are occured that markedly favourablealterations have been seen on the attitude of students and they concluded moresuccessful results in comparison with traditional education systems.Keywords: Smart Classroom, Distance Education, Video Conference
