The predictors of psychological well-being of mental health workers who are actively consulted in the field of mental health; expressing feelings and psychological counseling self efficacy

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of expressing emotions and psychological counselling self-efficacy on psychological well-being of mental health workers who are actively consulted in the field. The participants of the study consisted of 302 mental health workers, 234 women and 68 men. Personal Information Form, Psychological Well-Being Scale, Emotion Expression Scale and Psychological Counseling Self-Efficacy Scale are applied to participants as data collector tool. Hierarchical Regression Analysis was used in order to analyse the predictor effects. And also it was utilized Corelation Analysis, Kruscall Wallis H Test, Mann Whitney U Test, and descriptive statistics techniques. Considering the results of predictors of psychological well-being, it has been achieved psychological counseling self-efficacy and emotion expression in the order of contribution to the total variance described. It was determined that expressing emotions and psychological counseling self-efficacy variables have described the %31 of total variance. It was found that the mean scores of psychological well-being differed significantly according to age, working time, monthly income and marital status, but did not differ significantly according to educationlevel, and gender. Results of this research was discussed in the context of relevant literatue, and recommendations were made for researches.
