Abstract (EN)
Prognostic Significance of Systemic Inflammatory Response Index and Systemic Inflammation Index in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome The aim of our study was to evaluate the success of the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and the systemic inflammation index (SII) in predicting the prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Patients who were diagnosed with ACS and underwent coronary angiography in the emergency department between January 1, 2021, and June 30, 2021, were included in the study. Parameters were evaluated according to disease severity according to sintax score, angiography result, and hospital outcome (discharge, death). The data were analyzed retrospectively. In our study, 404 patients, 67.8% of whom were male, were included. The mortality rate was 3%. It was found that the mean SIRI levels of patients with a Sintax score less than 22 were lower than those with a Sintax score between 22 and 31 (p = 0.012). SII (p = 0.3598, AUC = 0.566) and SIRI (p = 0.4174, AUC = 0.558) parameters were not effective in predicting disease severity according to the Sintax score. According to hospital outcome status, SII (p = 0.5519, AUC = 0.554) and SIRI (p = 0.5344, AUC = 0.554) parameters were not discriminative in predicting death. The discrimination of SIRI and SII parameters for angio results was statistically significant. The discriminative power of the SIRI parameter was stronger than that of the SII parameter (p = 0.045). It was determined that angiogram results would not be normal in patients with a value >462.5732 for SII (AUC = 0.587, p = 0.0047) and in patients with a value >1.0273 for SIRI (AUC = 0.628, p = 0.0001). In our study, it was determined that SII and SIRI parameters were not effective in predicting the severity of coronary artery disease and death but were effective in predicting that angiography results would not be normal according to the calculated cut-off value. More comprehensive studies are needed to determine the future importance of indices. Key words: acute coronary syndrome, systemic inflammatory response index, systemic inflammation index
