Abstract (EN)

With climate change, meteorological and hydrological changes occurring in coastal regions have become more important. In this study, meteorological and hydrological drought analysis was carried out using 15 meteorological observations and 5 flow observation stations in the Coastal Aegean Region. When performing drought analysis, 1-month, 3-month and 12-month time periods were used. Drought classes and drought percentages were determined for each station, and the distribution rates of the longest dry periods and the most severe drought values were determined. As a result of the study, in the drought analysis conducted at meteorological observation stations and flow observation stations for 1-, 3- and 12-month periods, it was determined that the duration of dry periods increased as the time increased. It has been observed that as the duration of dry periods increases, their intensity also increases simultaneously. At the stations where meteorological and hydrological drought analysis was carried out, predominantly slightly dry and slightly humid periods were determined. Especially in the 12-month drought analyses, it was observed that drought was detected within the same periods. As a result of hydrological and meteorological drought analyses, it was determined that the dry and humid periods of meteorological observation stations and flow observation stations, which are close to each other in location, occurred largely in the same period.
