Abstract (EN)
Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) remains a significant cause of mortality, notwithstanding advancements in diagnosis and treatment. The inflammatory process is recognized as a pivotal factor in the pathophysiology of ACS. Raftlin, a recently identified lipid raft protein, has been implicated in the inflammatory cascade. There are previous studies showing the association of the Raftlin molecule with atherosclerosis and inflammation. Hence, our study endeavors to explore the correlation between raftlin levels and raftlin gene polymorphism with ACS. Notably, no existing literature has delved into the association between raftlin levels and acute coronary syndrome. Our study involved the prospective analysis of a total of 100 patients, comprising 50 individuals in the control group and 50 in the patient group. The findings revealed that raftlin levels were significantly elevated in the patient group compared to the control group (p<0.05). Across the entire population and within the patient group, a noteworthy positive correlation was observed between raftlin levels and both LDL and HbA1c levels (r:0.298, p:0.036, and r:0.335, p:0.17, respectively). Regarding the genetic results, both groups exhibited similarity in terms of genotype (p>0.05). Additionally, no significant correlation was identified between gene polymorphism and raftlin levels when comparing the patient and control groups (p>0.05). In our prospective study, we looked into the link between acute coronary syndrome (ACS), raftlin levels and gene polymorphisms for the first time. We found that people with ACS may have higher levels of raftlin. Additionally, we noticed that raftlin levels are correlated with LDL and HbA1c. We think that these findings will form the basis for future studies investigating the relationship between raftlin and ACS and using these future investigations as a base, raftlin molecule may become a guide in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease.
