Abstract (EN)
Receiver function analysis applied first time at Denizli province for deliniating crustal structure and Moho discontinuities at this thesis. In this thesis, teleseismic earthquakes recorded by earthquake stations of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD). Thirty teleseismic earthquakes which magnitudes change between 7.0 less than or equal Mw less than or equal 8,3 and between 2015-2016 were used. Via the receiver function analysis determined the crustal transfer function depending on the velocity, thickness and density variation at the interfaces in the upper mantle and crust. As a result of receiver function analysis, determined the crustal thicknesses are 33,065 km for Süleymanlı (SULE) station, 32,099 km for Hardallı (HARE) station, 31,797 km for Uzunpınar (UZPE) station, 34,021 km for Paşalar (PASA) station and 34,798 km for Kızılören (KZIL) stations which are situated in the north of the study area. 33,984 km for Tavas (TAVA) station, 33,065 km for Burdur (BRDR) station, 33,112 km for Çameli (CAEL) station and 32,91 km for Gölhisar (GOLH) stations which are situated in the south of the study area. It has been observed that the thickness of the crust decreases as it goes from north to south of the study area. Keywords: Denizli, receiver function analysis, crustal velocity structure
