Abstract (EN)
Aim: The purpose of this study was to assess medical adherence and quality of life among patients with allergic rhinitis. Materials and Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 165 patients with allergic rhinitis. The data were collected through face-to-face interview using a questionnaire consisting of Patient Information Form, Turkish Version of Modified Morisky Scale and Turkısh Rhınıtıs Qualıty of Lıfe Scale. Data were analyzed using arithmetic averages, percentages, and t test. Results: The mean age of patients were 34.9±11.2 (18-69) years, %55.2 were female. It was found that score of medical adherence 2.58±0.67; score of knowledge was 2.63±0.64, and mean score of quality of life was 20.5±15.2 Conclusion: The results of this study indicated that patients with allergic rhinitis' quality of life increased with decreased level of medical adherence and majority of them had high medical adherence.
