Abstract (EN)

This study examined the effect of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment and organizational cynicism as well as the mediating role of organizational cynicism in the effect of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment. For this purpose, the study data were collected from 250 health personnel working in the State Hospital in Osmaniye province of Turkey. The data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, correlations between variables, structural equation modeling, the goodness of fit tests of the model, and regression analysis. The results of the analyses showed that healthcare workers' perceptions of organizational support had a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment but a negative effect on organizational cynicism, however, that organizational cynicism had a negative effect on organizational commitment. Consequently, the study found that organizational cynicism played an important mediating role in the effect of organizational support on organizational commitment.
