Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between perceived supervisor support in schools and teachers' intention to leave. At the same time, determining whether the supervisor support perceived by teachers and their intention to quit their jobs differ according to demographic characteristics is also among the objectives of this study. The sample of the research consists of 178 teachers working at all levels of private schools in the province of Istanbul within the 2022-2023 academic year. The research was conducted in accordance with the correlational survey model, and the personal information form, the 'Perceived Manager Support Scale' developed by Özdemir (2010) and the 'Intention to Quit Work Scale' developed by Ok (2005) were used in the research for data collection purposes. Independent sample t-Test, Anova test and correlation and regression analyzes were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the research; While perceived supervisor support and intention to quit do not differ according to any demographic characteristics, it is seen that there is a negative significant relationship between teachers' perceived supervisor support and their intention to quit, however, supervisor support perceived by teachers had a significant effect on turnover intention.
