An assessment of NSU murders in Germany in the context of corporate racism

Germany, which caused millions of lives to die by experiencing many adversities brought about by racism and racism in the historical process, witnessed the killing of nine ethnic immigrants and three bombings between 2000-2007. Although the targets appeared to be randomly selected, all victims were of Turkish origin, with the exception of the Greek victim, who was thought to be of Turkish origin. In addition, the common features of the victims were Turkish origin and small business owners. In the legal process known as the NSU case in the German and world public, it has been shown as one of the most important cases in German history with hundreds of hearings, 11 parliamentary investigative committees, and a significant number of publications and public debates. The NSU murders, on the other hand, were diluted by the influence of public opinion and the press, and institutional racism did not in any way include far-right, German organizations in the investigation. For eight years, police investigations focused mainly on the families of immigrants and their alleged links to Turkish mafia groups and drug traffickers. The process in question supported the claims that far-right and racism took place institutionally in the German state system. Institutional racism is considered to have contributed to the fact that the NSU murders, attacks and robberies could not be uncovered by the German police and intelligence agencies for more than 10 years. It would be unthinkable for a system that silently but deeply monitors every community living and socializing in Germany, especially the Turkish society, that they would not follow neo-Nazi organizations, as the intelligence agencies admit. The destruction of NSU documents, many issues during both the investigation and the court process, the fact that the NSU murders and attacks cannot be solved for a long time, and on the contrary, trying to bring down the immigrants is very important in terms of revealing the power of institutional racism in the German state system.
