Abstract (EN)
In this study, geologic and geotechnic investigation of the Altunhisar(Niğde) highway (Km:0+000 ? 29+466.74) within the Niğde province has been done using geophysical and soil mechanical techniques.Detailed investigations were done on the present higway and in order to delineate the physical and mechanical characteristics of the new higway route , exploratory pits or trenches were excavated to take samples for Atterberg Litmits, grain size analysis (sieve and hydrometer) and standart proctor tests . SLIDE Software was used to minimize possible stability problems during and after the construction of the highway. IPI2win software was used to evaluate geophysics of the highway route. Finally, the results of the field and laboratory investigations on the units along the highway route were presented.
