Abstract (EN)

In this study, experimental tests of a solar air collector design were carried out. An aluminum absorber plate with a honeycomb geometry is used to increase the efficiency of the solar air collector. In order to investigate the heat transfer and air flow characteristics, the optimum operating ranges of the system under different irradiance and mass flow rates of the edge draft solar air collector were determined and experimental tests were carried out. Experimental tests were carried out in accordance with the predetermined weather conditions of the aluminium honeycomb structure collector and the air temperature rise values and the corresponding thermal efficiency values were found. According to the results obtained from the experimental tests, the maximum instantaneous efficiency of the collector was found to be 70% and the average efficiency was found to be approximately 50%. The results have also shown that the solar air collector with aluminium honeycomb has reached 70% thermal efficiency under 1200W / m2 irradiation between 13:00-14:00 at noon when the solar radiation intensity is high.
