ABSTRACTMaster ThesisINVESTIGATION OF MECHANICAL AND PHYSICALPROPERTIES OF ALUMINUM ADDEDASTM C18150 AND ASTM C18200 ALLOYSÇiğdem GÖKÇENFırat UniversityGraduate School of Natural and Applied SciencesDepartment of Metallurgy Education2007, Page: 86In this master thesis it has been compared the changes of mechanical properties CuCr1[ASTM C18200] and CuCrZr [ASTM C18150] alloys by addition of aluminum in differentratios. The main aim was the interpreting of the electrical conductivity levels of the producednew alloys with regard to thermal inductivity. The wear behaviors of test materials have been investigated against to a stainless steeldisc under different speeds and under three different direct currents in two directions. However in this work adhesive wear, abrasive wear, tribooxidation, fatigue and theother mechanisms, wear test methods and measurement techniques after literature knowledgehave been presented. The explanation of effects of the electrical current on the wear behaviorsof test materials was purposed with typical samples. Keywords: CuCr alloys, CuCrZr alloys, wear under electrical current, mechanicalproperties.I
