Abstract (EN)

The simulative identities produced by individuals on social media in the society of the spectacle have built a digital, artificial space. Through sharing, one can become a partner in the values of this virtual place and receive a portion of these values. Sharing is a declaration of strength, prosperity and virtual access to joy. In these declarations, an effort is made to generate a perception rather than the truth in the minds of the viewers. This occurrence can be referred to as a character simulation. Sharing character simulations on social media transports both viewers and authors into a fake realm and the gap between what is displayed and what is genuine is increasing. This existing socioeconomic condition is the primary concern of this work. In this thesis, the causes for an individual's creation of an artificial identity in social media are investigated, as are the reasons for the emergence of a simulation world in which reality is produced through models in the digital age. Again, on the basis of these studies, the film Packing was created, based on social media phenomenon that has a different life oustide of social media. The contrast between what is displayed on social media and what is experienced is analyzed in the film and the simulation's dimensions are attempted to be demonstrated.
