Abstract (EN)

In graphic design, determine whether there is a relationship between the product advertised and packaging design is the basic purpose of this study. Sub-objectives are to evaluate the design of packaging graphic design elements and principles of design, the role of the ad in consumer buying behavior and the importance of design education.The research is kind of literature screening. Working area is consisting of package of the square chocolate of Ulker and ETİ. The data obtained from the sample of the universe through the wrapping of the 14 kinds of Chocolate Square in the light of company reports 2010 sales. part of the concept and types of packaging, food packaging industry and consumer purchasing behavior, directing influence functions are discussed in part 1 of the study. Historical development and the importance of graphic design have been mentioned. In addition, the icon, symbol, signs, warnings, and material selection affect the success of the package in accordance with the principles of graphic design elements and color, illustration, typography and brand image. Introduction, advertisement and care to buy the product advertised that was reached by fulfilling the functions of promotion have been realized by the package, to meet today's requirements of a successful packaging design education emphasized.In part II of the study, relevant publication and research, in part III, universe, sample, tools and methodology of the universe, in part IV result of research findings and interpretations, in section V explanation of the results, the discussion and recommendations are presented.
