Abstract (EN)
The people who make up the society; they used jewelry not only to beautify, adorn, or to be admired, but also to reflect themself , them spirit, the region, his culture, fashion sense, contribute to power or luck, totem, status, fortune, protection. The importance that societies give to women and the place of women in society vary according to different civilizations and beliefs. The head structure, characteristics and needs of women have been important. Head jewelery was sometimes an indicator of status and authority, and sometimes it reflected the tribe, oba and family symbol of the woman. Head jewelry made with many materials and techniques, which can vary according to various regions, indicating whether they are married or single with certain colors and figures; It shows the commitment of Anatolian women to their traditions and the importance they give to themselves. The concept of head jewelry is also dominant on the basis of bridal veils, which are still used in Anatolia and all over the world. Precious stones (such as diamond, ruby, emerald, agate, amber), pearls, coral, wheat, olive leaves and seeds, animal horns and teeth were used in jewelry making. In addition, they processed precious metals such as gold, silver and steel obtained from the mine in making jewelry. The jewelry and jewelry culture, which was formed by the synthesis of many civilizations such as Babylon, Hittite, Assyria, as well as great states such as the Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman empires that lived in the lands of Anatolia, has survived from various excavations and changed hands from ancestor to grandchild. Although there are not many written sources on this subject, we get information about the differences and similarities by comparing the jewelery and jewelery of that period with the jewelery and jewelery of today's period. In this study, the general jewelry understanding of civilizations and states that have lived in Anatolia since ancient times, their perspective on women, and the Anatolian head jewelry culture from past to present will be explained with symbols, figures, materials, techniques and comparisons.
